Category 1: Google Calendar Permissions & Integration
1. What Google Calendar permissions does Yearly require, and why?
Yearly operates as a native Google Workspace Add-on using the principle of least privilege. We request narrow scopes:
calendar.addons.current.event.read: Inspects the title and date of the currently open event to detect milestone keywords (e.g. “Sarah's Birthday”).calendar.addons.current.event.write: Allows optional 1-click description enrichment with bouquet suggestions.spreadsheets: Optional, used only if you enable your personalCelebrationLogin your own Google Drive.
We strictly comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and never ask for unnecessary access.
2. Does Yearly read or access all my private calendar appointments?
No. The add-on only runs contextual triggers when you open an individual event or when the scheduled daily trigger scans for celebrations in the next 14 days. Work meetings, doctor appointments, personal reminders, and private entries that do not match milestone keywords (like “Birthday”, “Anniversary”, 🎂, or 💍) are completely ignored and never stored.
3. How do I disconnect Yearly or revoke permissions from my Google Account?
You can revoke permissions at any moment with one click. Simply visit your Google Account Security Permissions page, find “Yearly”, and click “Remove Access”. You can also uninstall the add-on directly from Google Calendar by clicking the three-dot menu on the add-on panel.
4. Does Yearly work on both desktop and mobile Google Calendar?
Yes! Because Yearly is built using Google Workspace's CardService framework, once installed it appears seamlessly in the Google Calendar web interface on desktop as well as inside the official Google Calendar app on Android and iOS devices.
Category 2: FloristOne Bouquets, Ordering & 1-Click Cart
5. How does 1-click cart checkout with FloristOne work?
When you click on a bouquet recommendation (such as the Best Day Bouquet B07 or Pink Posh Bouquet B08), Yearly immediately opens FloristOne's secure checkout portal with the exact arrangement pre-loaded in your cart. You skip browsing and category filtering, entering only the delivery recipient's address and greeting card message.
6. Who prepares and delivers the flower arrangements?
All flower arrangements are hand-crafted and hand-delivered by certified local retail florists in the recipient's neighborhood across the United States and Canada through the FloristOne network. This ensures fresh flowers and supports local florists.
7. What happens if there is an issue with my flower delivery?
FloristOne backs every order with a 100% freshness and satisfaction guarantee. If an arrangement arrives late or differs significantly from the product description, FloristOne's 24/7 customer care team will redeliver or issue a full refund. You can reach FloristOne support directly through your order confirmation receipt or contact us at support@yearly.click for escalation assistance.
8. Are there any hidden fees or price markups on bouquets?
No. Product pricing shown in Yearly matches standard retail pricing on FloristOne. As disclosed under FTC 16 CFR Part 255, Yearly may receive an affiliate referral fee from FloristOne at no extra cost to you.
Category 3: Privacy, Data Protection & Legal Disclosures
9. Does Yearly sell or monetize my personal calendar data?
Never. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. We do not display third-party advertisements or use your information for behavioral advertising.
10. Where is my celebration and gift history stored?
Your celebration logs and gift records are stored in your own private Google Drive spreadsheet (CelebrationLog) or in your local browser storage (localStorage and chrome.storage.sync). Yearly operates a zero-centralized-database architecture; we do not keep a copy on any external server.
11. Is Yearly compliant with GDPR and CCPA/CPRA?
Yes. Under GDPR (Articles 15–20) and CCPA/CPRA, you have full rights to access, export, and delete your data. Because all application logs reside in your own Google Drive and local browser, you can delete your data directly at any time by removing your spreadsheet or clearing browser storage. For verified DSR requests, email support@yearly.click.
12. How does Yearly's AI greeting personalization handle privacy?
If you use the optional AI greeting generator, short event parameter snippets (recipient first name and celebration category) are sent to Google's Gemini API over TLS 1.3 encrypted connections. As stated in our Privacy Policy, Google user data is strictly prohibited from being used to train, retrain, or fine-tune public foundation AI/ML models.
